Learn more about the proposed Solvay UFSD Capital Project 2018
On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Solvay Union Free School District will hold a vote for the proposed Capital Project for 2018. The vote will take place from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Solvay High School. The Solvay community is invited to a public information session on Monday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Solvay Transportation Building at 399 Beach Road, Syracuse, N.Y.The proposed Capital Project 2018 highlights include:
- Improve security at interior doors to facilitate lockdown of classrooms and offices
- Replace lockers throughout Solvay High School
- Renovate Solvay High School auditorium (seats, flooring, ceiling, lights, sound), including asbestos abatement and adjacent storage rooms
- Replace roof on Solvay Middle School
- Install air conditioning in Solvay Elementary School
- Demolish existing bus garage and construct new bus maintenance facility -- view pictures of the existing Transportation Building here.
- Construction of 1,500 sq. ft. maintenance storage facility at Solvay Middle School
