SMS History Club students experienced a great opportunity yesterday, visiting the Hancock Field National Guard Base. Students got to tour the base, went into the hangar to see different planes, and learned how members of the Guard flew planes remotely like the MQ-9 Reaper (pictured).

Students also had fun testing out how well they would be able to fly a plane using a Flight Simulator. Thanks to Mr. Mein, the parent of one of our students, Pharrah Durham [8], is an active duty member on the base and helped put this amazing tour and experience together for our students!
