"Lion King Jr." Donates $600 to Francis House to Honor Teacher Andrea Dowling

Solvay Middle School’s “The Lion King Jr.” Remembers Mrs. Andrea Dowling

On Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, over 100 students from Solvay Middle School worked together to help the musical “The Lion King Jr.” roar to life. Students from fourth to eighth grade participated in the production, which featured beloved songs such as “Hakuna Matata” and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King!”

This year, the cast and crew of "The Lion King Jr." continued the yearly tradition of donating a portion of ticket sales from the evening show on Saturday, March 25, as a way to give back to the community while doing something they love. This year, the cast and crew are proud to announce that they made a $600.00 donation to Francis House, in memory of beloved Solvay teacher and friend, Mrs. Andrea Dowling.

Great job, Solvay Middle School! Thank you for an excellent show and your generous donation!
