Solvay to host St. Baldrick's Day Fund Raiser!

"Did you know that every year, 175,000 kids are diagnosed with childhood cancer worldwide? Of the U.S. federal funding for cancer research, only 4% is solely dedicated to childhood cancers. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is working to change this reality.

On March 17 from 2-3pm Solvay High School will be doing something to change this statistic by having our very own St. Baldrick's event.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. Since 2005, the St. Baldrick’s has granted more than $178 million to support the development of childhood cancer treatments that are as unique as each child.

No child should have to fight cancer or suffer the effects of treatment. We need your help. There are many ways to get involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, visit their website at STBALDRICKS.ORG to learn more.
