The Solvay Foodservice Program is committed to the highest standards of food excellence and safety, by providing quality meals that are both nutritious and appetizing. Solvay Foodservice program prides itself on offering meals that meet federal guidelines established for school meals. We believe there is a connection between nutrition and student performance. When students are well nourished they have increased attendance, better grades, and are able to concentrate and perform at higher standards.
Solvay Foodservice Program offers a daily hot meal or an alternate cold meal for lunch. Students may choose either a hot or cold lunch regardless of whether they are full priced or free and reduced priced. Monthly menu are sent home with your student or view menus on the web at www.solvayschools.org. Menus may be subject to change without notice. If requirements are not met or a student only wants milk the charge will be at a la carte pricing regardless if full paid, free or reduced price.

Solvay Foodservice Program offers snack items that meet federal and state guidelines. Students in SES* and SMS may purchase items in the serving line. SHS students may purchase items from vending machines in the cafeteria.
*SES students are limited to the following options. Students may purchase one snack per lunch. Snacks are subject to change without notice.
Daily: Assorted Milk Assorted Fruit Celery or Carrots w/dip Yogurt
Monday: Freshly Baked WG & LF Cookies
Wednesday: LF Ice Cream
Friday: Popcorn or Pretzels
FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATIONS:
Only one application per family, with all student names listed, is necessary. A new application must be filled out every year by October 15th. Applications can be found online at www.solvayschools.org or student’s school.If a new application is not provided by this date; then the student will be expected to pay for lunch. Eligibility approvals are not retroactive. A Student who receives free or reduced price lunches also qualifies free or reduced priced breakfast.
PREPAYMENTS FOR STUDENT MEALS:
By prepaying you can stop scrambling for money every day and relax knowing your student(s) will have money on their account to enjoy high quality, nutritious and economical meals. Prepayments are for any student in grades UPK-12. Student may purchase breakfast, lunch and a la carte items from their account.
